Chloe Coulter

Hi! I’m Chloe Coulter, Founder and Teacher at Selah Dance Company. I’ve been dancing for about 15 years, exploring nearly every style, performing, competing, and discovering just how much dance would shape my life.

I started dancing at a young age and had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker with Tampa City Ballet as a child. Years later, I had the privilege of taking classes with Tampa City Ballet again as an adult. Those experiences helped deepen my love for ballet and continue to shape the way I approach my own training and teaching.

In high school, I became especially serious about ballet. I trained at Jax City Ballet, where I danced as a company soloist in their pre-professional program. I also competed at Universal Ballet Competition and had the opportunity to perform roles in The Nutcracker as Spanish, Doll, and Snow, and Sleeping Beauty as a Fairy/Soloist.

One of the moments that shaped me most was choreographing my senior solo. That was when I realized how much I loved creating - bringing movement to life in a way that tells a story and touches hearts. Shortly afterward, my teacher asked me to teach for her. That simple “yes” became the beginning of my teaching journey.

Since then, I’ve had the joy of teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, pre-pointe, and more. While I love so many styles, ballet and lyrical will always hold a special place in my heart. I love the combination of grace, emotion, artistry, and storytelling they bring to dance.

Outside of the studio, I love spending time with my husband Luke (who I have successfully turned into my co-teacher for swing dancing), reading a good book, going on hikes, paddle boarding, and snuggling with my dog and our two kittens. These little moments are some of my favorite ways to slow down and enjoy the everyday.

Selah was born from a calling I couldn’t ignore. It was never just about opening a studio - it was about obedience. The Lord made it clear that this was the path He was leading me toward and a way for me to steward the gifts He has given me. I wanted more than a studio; I wanted a ministry. A safe space where students feel loved, encouraged, and seen, while growing both technically and spiritually.

“Every Movement a Moment of Worship” is more than a tagline - it’s the heart of Selah. I believe that even in movement, we can pause, reflect, soak in His presence, and use the gifts He has given us to glorify Him. That is my hope and prayer for every student who walks through Selah’s doors.

To every family who has trusted me, prayed for this studio, and walked alongside this vision - thank you. Selah exists because of obedience, faith, and community. I’m so grateful you’re here, and I can’t wait to see what God continues to do through Selah.

Welcome to Selah.
